When you buy a Chalkline product you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the files. You do not own the files or the designs. Chalkline (15919169 Canada Inc.) keeps the copyright.
Personal products: one user
This covers the planners, calendars, journals, spreadsheets, binder and other consumer products. You may:
- Use the files yourself, and within your own household.
- Install or import them on your own devices.
- Print copies for your own use.
- Edit the files for your own use, for example changing the text in a spreadsheet or document template.
The Teacher Planner is for your own teaching and classroom use. The Resume and Cover Letter Templates are for your own job applications. Each licence covers one person. If a friend, family member outside your household, or colleague wants a copy, they need to buy their own.
Business kits: one business
The Meta Ads Launch Kit, Google Ads Launch Kit, Client Onboarding and SOP System, and the Agency Launch Bundle are licensed for one business. You may use them for your own business and for your own clients as often as you like, and adapt the templates to your branding for that work. Where you are a freelancer or agency, one licence covers you and your own work for your clients. It does not cover a whole team of separate businesses or a separate agency. Each additional business needs its own licence.
Bundles
Each file in a bundle is licensed on the terms above for its own product type.
What you may not do
- Resell, sublicense, give away, share or lend the files, in whole or in part, in any form.
- Upload the files, or files made from them, to a marketplace, file-sharing site, template library, or any public place.
- Use the files, or extracts of them, to create a competing product or a product for sale.
- Remove copyright notices or claim the designs as your own work.
- Share download links or your account with anyone else.
Third-party names
Meta, Facebook, Instagram and Google are trademarks of their owners. Chalkline is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
Ending the licence
The licence ends automatically if you break these terms. If that happens you must stop using the files and delete your copies.
